On the Anniversary of the Birth of the Prophet, Muhammad (Peace and Prayers be upon Him) a celebration took place on January 15 in Qudaih, Sayed Hassan Al-Nimer Al-Moussawi emphasized, on the importance of coexistence among people.
Al-Nimer defined coexistence as accepting pluralism and different opinions which ensure social stability.
He said that “if people refuse coexistence the alternative will be wars and crises which are totally rejected by Islam” Coexistence and tolerance ensure decent live and protect people’s freedom, Moussawi added.
About reasons of incitement discourse and intolerance status in the society, Moussawi blamed irresponsible scholars who promote strife and crisis. He said that “the state has to adopt a law which recognizes pluralism and rejects discrimination otherwise we will suffer for the rest of our life.”
Moussawi called each sect to introduce their beliefs in order to eliminate negative stereotype about each other. He expressed his optimism about the future of united Islamic society, although there will be sacrifices to get to this stage.
